Leaned Out Race Management
Race day without the clipboard.
Racers sign up on their phones. The desk takes the money and checks them in. Race control gets everyone into LiveTime and texts the heats. It all runs in a browser, on any laptop, with nothing to install.
Get in touch See Live RC OverlaysSign-up without the line at the desk
Racers enter from a link or a QR code at the gate: their classes, a transponder for each, seeding and the waiver. They check it all before it saves, get a text receipt with your logo, and fix their own entry from the link in it. Nobody retypes a sign-up sheet.
- A sign-up kiosk at the track that opens today's race by itself, by mouse or by touch
- A TV at the gate with your sign-up code, the racer pages and what is on track now
- Members pay from a price list of their own
- Racers can ask for a tab and pay once at the end of the day
- Everyone can see who has entered, class by class
The desk on one screen
Race Admin is your roster with the day's numbers on top: racers, class entries, money in, paid and unpaid. The desk takes the money and checks the racer in, and that puts them on race control's list.
- Cash, card, PayPal, tab or comp, as your track takes them
- Total entry fees, and the race director's payout worked out for you
- Add a walk-up, change classes, or take a racer off without losing the record
- Notes and a problem flag that both boards see
- Find anyone, sort any column, print the roster
Race control without the retyping
The Race Director sees who is checked in and never the money. Hand LiveTime one file and the whole field is entered, with classes and transponders, or work through them one at a time. The two boards keep each other up to date by themselves.
- Text a group or one racer, and see who gets it before it goes
- Text every racer their own heats, straight from the scoring PC with overlays
- Start times that move as the day runs late with overlays
- A page beside LiveTime: where the class is set to finish, who should be marshalling, what is next with overlays
- Marshal check-in by touch, with a list of who to dock with overlays
Racers always know when they race
Every racer gets a text with their own races, their spot and about when they start, and a link to My day: one page with everything they need, on their own phone. Nobody misses a heat because they were at the truck, and nobody asks at the window.
- My day: next race, spot and start time, all weekend from one link with overlays
- Heats and times for every race, updated as the day runs with overlays
- Your track's page: what is racing now, and what is coming up with overlays
Results on every phone
A minute after the flag, your racers have laps, times, fastest lap, best three in a row and consistency, worked out the way LiveRC does it. Results and practice stay up for a year, under your track's name.
- Compare up to four drivers, lap by lap, and send the link to a friend with overlays
- Every lap of every race with overlays
- Practice runs ranked and side by side with overlays
Points series, on every phone by itself
After a points race, export the Series report from LiveTime to Excel into your folder. The scoring PC sends it within a minute, and your racers have the standings on their phones instead of a photo on Facebook.
- Every class, with the gap to the place ahead with overlays
- The races that counted and the ones dropped
- Find a driver by name
- Print the standings, every class
Your track, your look
Racers see your track, not ours. Your logo and colors are on the sign-up form, the kiosk, the sign board at the gate, your racer pages and both boards, and your logo is on the text receipt. You set them yourself on Race Admin, whenever you like, and with Live RC Overlays your stream and TVs follow within a minute.
Better with Live RC Overlays
Anything marked with overlays needs Live RC Overlays on your scoring PC, because that is what reads the race from LiveTime. Together they run the whole day, from the first sign-up to the last result, and your LiveTime backups go off the PC by themselves.

With Live RC Overlays, both are $70 a month, and the web TV board, web heat sheet and backups are included.

Texts
$0.03 to $0.09 a message
Billed separately each month, for what you send.
- Registration text with your logo: $0.09
- Most other texts: $0.03 to $0.06
- Per driver, not per entry: a driver in two classes counts once
- Drivers who opt out get no texts
- Any extra message you send to racers is $0.03 to $0.06 each, on top
Example: a race with 50 drivers, 3 qualifiers and mains is about 50 messages at $0.09 and 200 at $0.03 to $0.06. That comes to $10.50 to $16.50 for the event, and less when drivers opt out.
Hardware
$700 kiosk setup with touch screen
$400 just a Chromebook, managed by Leaned Out
Or use any device you want: the kiosk is a web page.
$100 a TV stick, with a one-year warranty
Get in touchQuestions
Does it work with LiveTime?
Yes, and only with LiveTime. The Race Director hands LiveTime one file that registers every racer with their classes and transponders.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Both boards run in a browser on any laptop, and racers use their own phones.
Does it take the money?
Not yet. Race Admin records how each racer paid you; it does not charge anyone.
What if the internet goes down at the track?
The boards need a connection. Working offline and catching up afterwards is on our list. Live RC Overlays does not need the internet during a race.
Who sees the racers' phone numbers?
Nobody at the desk. Numbers are kept to send texts and are never shown on a board. A racer can say no to texts on the form, or reply STOP at any time.
What happens to my data if I stop?
We keep your racers, results and My day data for 30 days, then delete them. To keep them for longer, suspend your account for $10 a month, and they are there when you come back.
Can my race director see what people paid?
No. Money only shows on Race Admin.
